Hey why spend money on spring break when the teenagers can enjoy the neighborhood park.

Mormon Prom

Here in Texas they have a Mormon Prom. Laurels and Priests from 13 stakes get together for a dance.

Bishop's challenge

Each year our ward has what we call the Bishop's challenge - eacho f the YW/YM groups get to come up with something for the bishopric to try to beat them with. This year the laurels came up with making a scary face.

The bishopric got to do Alyssa while the laurels did Christie (Alyssa's friend). The bishopric tried cheating and brought Graham in (they thought he would be easier to make ugly). They made Graham Shrek (do you think Shrek is ugly?) but then they got a great idea to make Alyssa a bearded woman. Just thought you'd like to see. The bishopric won this challenge hands down.

Best of both worlds - Alyssa's friend Nikole got tired of waiting for our tree to be decorated and took matters into her own hands. (I'm sure she's for hire)

Christmas Morning - Santa did come!

What do you think she was expecting besides slippers in a slippers box?

Alyssa loved her Texas Longhorn sweatshirt, funnel cake maker and twilight poster.

Santa's helper really made us laugh this year - many boxes were mislabeled - Should've seen Aubrey's eyes when she opened up socks for work. (Yes it was a hint also)

We are the CHAMPIONS....AGAIN!!!

Alyssa's team took 1st place in her tournament...again. They creamed the first team they played by about 40 pts. The second team was a little more challenging though, but they won by 12 pts. And the 3rd team was a joke and they won by about 30 pts.

Alyssa's team took 1st place in her tournament. She played a total of 4 games.Her first game was against South Garland the score was 63-11. The Friday game was against Sachse, the final score was 58-18. The first Saturday game was against Mesquite Horn, the final score was 62-42. And the championship game was against Waxahachie and the final score was 56-32. As you can tell her team is totally creaming the competition this year. If you want some great stories, ask her the appropriate time to laugh at the refs, or what to do when you get hurt, or what happens when you don't listen to the coach.
